Hello there! I'm Khaled, and I'm thrilled to be your guide on this language-learning journey. Based in the vibrant land of Egypt, I am a visual artist and theatre actor who has found immense joy in helping individuals like you delve into the beauty of language. Languages have always been my passion, and my linguistic repertoire includes English, German, and Spanish. I firmly believe that learning happens best when it's enjoyable and practical. Forget about memorizing grammar rules – our minds are wired to pick up language naturally, just as we did with our native tongues.

I knew from his video intro that Khaled would be able to offer exactly what I need. The biggest challenge will be to shut up and just focus on the Arabic, as I love working out how sentence parts slot together. I'll be booking all my lessons with Khaled for sure.

In my four lessons so far, Khaled has always shown himself to be patient and willing to adjust his speaking rate or explanations to account for my listening level. He indeed focuses on language acquisition instead of learning, ensuring that you are exposed to common phrases and natural ways of expressing things that coincide with your level or needs. He has made sure there is a good mix of things in my lessons: conversation, watching/listening to comprehensible input, “translating” common sentences, and having time to ask him questions about things from my self-study that I’m curious about.

Khaled struck a good balance between having me speak and having me work on my listening, and all in practical contexts. A lot of the words and phrases that I used came up again naturally later in conversation, or were easy to work on using again. Repetition is often something other teachers don't know how to naturally incorporate or utilize, and it seems like with Khaled this won't be such a struggle. Khaled also knows how to mix in English strategically for lower and intermediate learners to maximize their Arabic learning. Looking forward to our next lesson.
