Hello everybody!
I'm Juri, an Italian polyglot and language teacher.
I'm a language enthusiast and currently speak six languages - Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Turkish - and I'm currently learning Russian as well.
My passion for languages pushed me to travel and live in different countries: this experience further fuelled my interest in learning new languages and made me discover the pleasure of sharing with others what I love the most, that is, languages.Me as a Teacher
I think teaching a language means guiding the student's learning, understanding their objectives, and providing them with the tools they need to reach them: every student is different, but each can learn a new language.
In a way, teaching a language is helping students to be self-taught. As a teacher, my role will be to give students the knowledge and the confidence they need to discover their target language further autonomously.
This way, students will quickly be able to explore what they are most interested in and, most importantly, enjoy the journey.
Due to my professional background and expertise, I work exclusively with adults.My lessons & teaching style
I think language learners have to feel immersed in their target language, it has to become a part of their daily life: for this reason, my lessons will be primarily focused on conversation and dealing with everyday life situations.
My goal is to rapidly give students the tools they need to start exploring their target language on their own, which I believe is the stimulus they need to progress in their studies.
This process will be supported by accurately selected materials and a curriculum tailored to their unique needs and learning objectives, which will help the students organize and consolidate what they have learned.Certificates

I've been taking online lessons from Juri for almost a year, starting from about advanced beginner to now intermediate.
I find him to be both affable and knowledgeable. In our lessons, it often feels like a regular conversation, but he subtly lets you know where corrections ought to be made to improve your speaking. My focus with him has been to improve my speaking, so materials we have used are varied. Exercises include: my reconstruction of an itinerary of a past italian trip (from my journal) or reading articles for comparing and contrasting points, and he also gave me a great pdf text that had topics of interest I could study and choose our next conversation on.
