Jin Lee

I have really been enjoying my lessons with Jin Lee 선생님 . He is always prepared for class and I can tell he tailors the class to my experiences and what is relevant to me. I get a lot of speaking practice and I feel encouraged to speak each lesson. I am excited to continue taking lessons with Jin lee teacher .

Another fantastic lesson! Today, we discussed a story that appeared on MBC America about how carcinogens are commonly found in junk food, which required using new vocabulary and grammar that I had previously studied. Afterwards, we started working with the vocabulary textbook and used the chapters to discuss our own experiences. While I spoke, Jin took notes of any corrections, new grammar forms, and helpful vocabulary, adding them to the document. Since we're telling stories of our own experiences, I'm sure the vocabulary will come in handy.

Jin is such a fantastic teacher! He knows how to adjust his level of speech to your current level so the conversation flows seamlessly even though my Korean is still quite limited. He always comes to class well prepared and always keeping in mind my interests and needs. I definitely recommend him!

I appreciate that Jin begins each lesson by engaging with my interests and hobbies. He creates a supportive, laidback learning environment that makes me feel comfortable pronouncing Korean words and asking questions. Each lesson is well-structured and seamless. He gives many opportunities to read, speak and ask questions. I look forward to my lessons every week. I feel confident that I will be able to communicate in basic Korean soon!

Jin created a very comfortable atmosphere from the very beginning of class. We went through the materials he had sent before the class, which focused on vocabulary related to emotions. I'm often worried of making simple mistakes in front of my classmates, so Jin's calm personality allowed me to think of what I wanted to say and to use the grammar/vocabulary I had learned. He made notes based on my mistakes and also introduced some vocabulary I didn't know. Despite only having a 30 minute trial, I got to practice and also learned a lot.

Jin is a fantastic teacher. He always makes the class relevant to me, my interests and my needs. He asks very good questions, and always speaks at a level I can understand. He also explains grammar in a way that is very easy to understand.
