Emi

I am having so much fun learning with Emi sensei! It truly makes my day brighter. Emi sensei has an amazing sense of figuring out where a person is at in their learning process and zooms in to a sweet spot where you are challenged but not overwhelmed. For the longest time I was afraid to learn with a sensei because I didn't feel confident in my own learning ability - but Emi sensei's excellent tutoring makes the hour pass so quickly like learning and laughing with a friend. Wish I started earlier!

Emi-san is teaching very effectively and never forgets to smile, encourage and personally engage. I am looking forward to our next lessons.

Emi san is an excellent teacher. We have covered a number of topics so far, and she always reviews what we have covered in the past. And she incorporates past lessons into current material. For example we have learned to say where we are from and our jobs already. In the lesson saying who is in our family, we can incorporate saying where they are from and what their jobs are. Emi is very encrouraging.

My first long lesson with Emi Sensei today was so much fun. She is professional and personable at the same time. 60 minutes went by fast. I learned so much today even though I struggled quite a bit (had a long day of work so my brain is a bit of information overload). Emi Sensei was great at acknowledging my struggles right away and helped me understand it by repeating it again and again. I appreciate that because I learn best by repetition and through corrections. I appreciate her guidance through this journey so far. I look forward to seeing her and learning from her every day.
