We had another really cool lesson that helped me get a better grip on Spanish grammar: Direct and indirect objects. While I have understood these in English for decades and can easily identify them even in Spanish, the se, le, les and lo, la are more difficult. While language apps have taught me the basics, today's lesson gave me a better grasp on when to use which. For instance, an exception to my expectation was les in place of la familia because that's a group of people. Furthermore, this helped me understand stating sentences with the indirect object and following it up with the verb. These are some of the finer skills and points that an app just can get across even with it's "AI." There were also a few cases of, "yes, that makes sense, but it sounds weird." That have set us up for next week's lesson!
