Hi, my name is Seongsoo, and I teach Korean.
저는 한국에서 태아나고 자랐습니다. 미국에서 7년 정도 공부하고 한국으로 돌아와서 지금은 서울에 살고 있습니다.
I was born and raised in South Korea. I studied in the United States for 7 years. And now I am back in Korea and living in Seoul, Korea.
I speak Korean, English, and Japanese. Korean is my mother tongue, and I use standard Korean. Also, I speak English and Japanese. I have a lot of experience teaching Korean to foreigners and always enjoy it- I led numerous one-on-one sessions for American college students and taught Korean courses for American high school students as well as I had some one-on-one lessons with adults.
I love to teach Korean because we can talk about many different things and share different ideas and perspectives. I think Learning a language is also learning the culture. So I am looking forward to sharing Korean culture and my experience with you and learning from you. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Seongsoo so far. I feel a lot more comfortable speaking thanks to him. He’s patient, encouraging, and always has materials based on I want to learn. He also sends a summary of what we went over that day, which I find incredibly helpful for reviewing. Thank you for being making it very enjoyable to learn Korean!

I have learned so much and so quickly during my lessons with Seongsoo. He gives wonderful explanations, relevant information about the language and culture, and is so supportive of my learning. I highly recommend this class to beginners especially. I look forward to every lesson and can feel my progress already even though we just started!! Thank you!
