I've had 4 conversational mandarin sessions with Kai already and they've been great. Kai is good at picking interesting and sometimes controversial topics to generate conversation, which makes it more motivating for me to try to find the words to express my thoughts.
He also writes down key vocabulary in both hanzi and pinyin as we talk.
My biggest issues have always been a lack of vocabulary and reading. In the past couple of weeks, in combination with using Anki flashcards, my vocab has already expanded a lot.

Teacher Kai is friendly, professional and always teaches me new vocabulary. We mostly do conversational style lessons, as thats what i want to improve on. Always a pleasant time with him.
