Anni

I’m a 72 year old retired teacher of 45 years. Much of my career was mentoring teachers and students who became teachers. ANNI has now given me 50 Tagalog lessons. She is a natural teacher and knows her curriculum thoroughly. Lesson are well-prepared, and include a discussion of new homework. Anni is highly intelligent, knowledgable, and has a deep understanding of both English and Tagalog grammar. I have never felt pushed or that lessons were slow. Her explanations are clear and concise. My mistakes are never an issue. I selected Anni from numerous teachers offered online. I found her speech clear in both Tagalog and English. Anni is spontaneous, creative, has a good sense of humor, and is respectful of others. I feel Anni is on “my team” helping me with my Tagalog journey. She is supportive. She is punctual. Anni is not sarcastic, impatient or disrespectful. She does not belittle me or others. She is not defensive or judgmental. I’m happy she is my Tagalog teacher. - William Hunt

The lesson we had today was amazing. Because Anni did a great recap of previous lessons, which was highly appreciated after a longer break from my side. Anni is very kind, supportive, explains very well and always has an example ready, in case something is unclear or to give more context during the lesson. Already looking forward to the next lessons with Anni ^^

Anni is the best teacher I've ever had on Italki. She is very supportive, calm and patient. She creates materials for me personally to help me fulfill my language goal. I couldn't be more grateful, she is definitely THE best.

Today's lesson felt super productive again! Teacher Anni teaches sentence structures/grammar that is commonly used in daily conversations, so I'm already speaking longer and more complicated sentences with her kind feedback and patient assistance on my errors. She always ensures that I understand how to apply grammar rules before moving on, so the lesson pace is just right. My vocabulary is steadily improving as well. I had lots of challenging, but really helpful practice today!

I enjoy my assignments to write in Tagalog. The assignment for today brought back fun memories of my childhood. We both had a good laugh.

Excellent teaching plus reasonably good learning equals progress. I am very happily learning Tagalog.
